Watch the source videoHow to stream from iPhone / Moblin to OBS (local + different networks)

1Confirm the local setup (same Wi-Fi)

For local streaming, keep your iPhone and your OBS computer on the same Wi-Fi network.

If you want to go outside on cellular or a different network, skip to Step 6.

2Find your OBS server IP

In OBS, go to Tools > WebSocket Server Settings.

Click Show Connect Info and copy the Server IP.

3Create an OBS stream in Moblin

In Moblin, open Settings > Streams and tap Create OBS.

Paste the Server IP from OBS and set the port to 7654, then finish the setup.

4Add an SRT listener source in OBS

In OBS, add a new Media Source.

Set the input to: srt://0.0.0.0:7654?mode=listener

Set Input Format to mpegts and click OK.

5Go live in Moblin

Tap Go Live in Moblin and your video should appear in OBS.

You are now streaming locally over the same Wi-Fi network.

6Launch a Streamable server for different networks

If you need to leave the house or switch networks, open streamable.run and Quick Launch a server.

Once it starts, open the Ingests page at https://streamable.run/ingests.

7Scan the Moblin ingest QR code

In the ingest list, open the Moblin (iPhone) ingest and scan the QR code with your phone.

Tap Go Live in Moblin. The feed is now going to your Streamable server.

8Stream from anywhere with auto-reconnect

Select the Moblin ingest in your cloud-hosted OBS and start your stream.

If your phone drops connection, Streamable can automatically switch to your ingest offline scene and reconnect when you are back online.
